«The acquisition of MyJobs.com.mm fits perfectly into our portfolio in Myanmar, which currently includes Duwun.com.mmMarry.com.mm and Kalay.com.mm. Since 2012, MyJobs.com.mm has been the online job classified pioneer in Myanmar, one of the fastest growing economies worldwide. At that time, the internet penetration in Myanmar was less than one percent and most curriculum vitae still were collected manually and in paper format. Three years later, MyJobs.com.mm had its first one million followers on Facebook. In August 2018, close to 1.9 million people follow MyJobs.com.mm on Social Media.

«The people who work with MyJobs.com.mm serve the purpose of helping people and businesses in Myanmar to grow. They are helping hundreds of thousands of people every month to search for and find new jobs. In addition, the MyJobs.com.mm team helps to organize the biggest jobs fair in Yangon and Mandalay four times a year. Together with Ringier we will form an ideal constellation of know-how and potential in Myanmar. We are all eager to build something big with a high-quality and innovative character for Myanmar», said Hans van Beek, CEO of MyJobs.com.mm.

Florent De Rocca-Serra, General Manager of Ringier Asia added: «We will ensure that MyJobs.com.mm further consolidates and extends its leading position as the number 1 online job portal in Myanmar. We will fully leverage our local market knowledge and assets we have built locally over the last few years, together with our international expertise in Job classifieds to further add-value to the good work the MyJobs.com.mm team has done so far. I am excited to welcome the entire MyJobs.com.mm team as part of our activities and to further shape the digital landscape in Myanmar».
