Storytelling is our core. In 2021, it’s video storytelling we’re best at. Here’s what the numbers say.

Over the last two years, Ringier Romania produced over 14.000 videos (original content) which gathered over 160 million video plays.

And it’s still growing. In 2021, Ringier Romania created an average of over 500 original video content a month, which got an average of 7 million video plays a month. Compared to 2019, there’s an 85% increase in video plays, from +21 million to over 40 million in a six-month period.

Overall, on all video players, Ringier Romania is reaching over 140 million preroll ads and over 25 million video plays monthly.

Ringier Romania and its 40 websites – some owned, others in the sales house – reach over 5 million people at any given moment, which is 49% of the total population with internet access in Romania.

First, there was print. Newspapers and magazines, mainstream or niche, our media outlets satisfied everyone’s need for information and entertainment through stories. That’s how we became the biggest publishing company in the Romania. Almost 30 years on, we’re still leading. We just turned into a digital first media company.

Evolution is key. The media landscape has radically transformed in the last couple of years. Us, along with it. The tools we use, the behaviours our readers have, and, most of all, the preferred medium. Now, it’s video. Through emotion, good video creates meaningful connections with audiences. That is why, through the original video content we produce, our audiences are present and engaged. It’s what Ringier Romania has always been good at. Now in digital.
