Ringier Romania creates immersive digital escape to position Baileys as winter’s comfort ritual
When Baileys needed to own the winter cocktail moment, Ringier Romania built them a world. Not a campaign, a destination.
The creative solution: “Winter Wonderland,” a fully custom interactive website designed as an explorable mountain landscape with four themed cottages. Each lit window signals a different experience. Enter, and a virtual bartender welcomes you with a room-specific Baileys cocktail. The navigation itself becomes the narrative: wandering a snowy evening, discovering warmth, learning recipes through the journey rather than a list.
Ringier’s strategic bet was spatial storytelling over product push. Instead of “here are 4 winter cocktails,” they created “here’s where you want to be when winter hits, and Baileys is what makes it feel like this.”
The full build: custom website (Ringier handled concept, copywriting, design, coding, and ongoing management), 4 recipe demonstration videos produced in-house, supporting editorial articles across Ringier publications, native advertising driving discoverability, social media campaign threading the cozy escape narrative.
